Six Seven!

Whether you have kids in your daily life or not, you have probably noticed that the younger generation is completely obsessed with the numbers “Six Seven.”

Product render of a black circular Samsung Galaxy Watch featuring the Six Seven watch face against a dark background. The design has a dynamic, vibrant background of neon pink, blue, green, and yellow light swirls. Prominent in the center are large, rounded numbers with an iridescent bubble-like gradient fill (white, pink, light blue), displaying the Six Seven themed time of 10:67. Arc text along the top bezel curve reads "June 7 (US 6-7 Day)". Three bottom complications show icons and text for battery life (94%), step count (11090), and heart rate (67 with a unique glowing background). Attached is a black leather watch band.

For the uninitiated, here is how the phenomenon works: Whenever the numbers 6 and 7 appear together, kids will draw out the words (“six seeeeven”) and do a specific back-and-forth hand pivot. To them, it is an absolute lifestyle. To adults, it is an international trend that is incredibly polarizing. You either embrace the quirky fun of it, or the whole thing drives you absolutely crazy. But let’s be honest, it is completely harmless fun. We should let them have their moment. After all, hearing a child’s laughter is about as good as it gets.

Second Hand Labs is officially jumping in and joining the ride and in doing so, we asked ourselves a question: What would happen if we took the Six Seven obsession and forced a smartwatch to live by its rules? So, we did just that. We built a watch face that embraces the “Six Seven” madness to its core, and we need your help to test it.

The Engine & The Easter Eggs

If you want to prove you are an adult who actually “gets it,” this watch face is the ultimate badge of honor. But forcing Wear OS to behave this way required some serious under-the-hood engineering:

  • Breaking the Rules: Instead of rolling over from 1:59 to 2:00, the clock just keeps counting up. It goes to 1:60, 1:61… all the way to 1:67, before finally snapping to reality at 2:08.
  • The 8-Minute Shift: The watch face seamlessly hijacks the internal clock during that :60 to :67 rollover, holding the previous hour completely steady.
  • The Celebration Countdown: A custom, dynamic countdown tracks the exact minutes and seconds until the next Six Seven shift.
  • The “Six Seven” Dance: We went all in. Anytime the sequence “67” appears together in your daily stats (like a heart rate of 67, or even 10673 steps) those specific numbers will do a little back-and-forth pivot dance on your screen, perfectly mimicking the real-life hand motion.

Why We Need You

The target audience for this trend is younger, but they rarely have the Wear OS hardware to actually run it. That is where this community comes in. Google’s Play Store rules require us to run a closed test with at least 12 active testers for 14 continuous days before we can release it to production. We need people willing to keep this polarizing tribute installed (and used as much as you can tolerate) for the next two weeks to test the complex time-shifting logic, hunt for edge cases, and make sure the animations trigger perfectly.
