The SHL Six Seven watch face is a digital timekeeper that is fully committed to the numbers 6 and 7. It questions the standard 60-minute hour and is designed for those who appreciate a bit of mathematical madness on their wrist.

1. How to Read the Time

The Six Seven watch face uses standard digital time for the majority of the day. However, it features two distinct visual events that occur regularly.

The 6-7 Shift

Most watches roll over and reset to 00 minutes. We refuse to accept that the hour ends there when the number 67 is so close. The watch face utilizes a unique method for displaying time specifically between the top of the hour and 7 minutes past the hour.

  • 9:59 is pepresented as 9:59.
  • 10:00 is represented as 9:60.
  • 10:07 is represented as 9:67.
  • 10:08 is represented as 10:08.

This is intentional and serves as the signature feature of the design. The time will return to the standard format automatically after the 67th minute passes. Once 9:67 is over, the clock progresses normally to 10:08.

The Hourly Celebration

Every hour, the watch face celebrates the “67th minute” of the previous hour.

  • When: This occurs at :07 past the current hour.
  • What: A visual indicator appears on the screen to celebrate the moment that 67 minutes have passed since the previous hour began. Think of it like watching the ball drop on New Year’s Eve, but happening every single hour.

Fully Committed to the Lifestyle

We are leaning in completely. This watch face champions the 6-7 lifestyle more than most dedicated fans. We rewired the entire interface to scan for the magic number continuously.

Whether it is your step count, heart rate, or battery level, if the number 67 appears anywhere in your stats, the watch will make it clear that a 6-7 event is in progress.

Signature Dates and Year-Round Celebrations

At Second Hand Labs, we love to celebrate. With the Six Seven watch face, 6-7 related events are recognized throughout the year. For example:

  • 6-7 Day: Keep an eye out on June 7th (in the US) and July 6th (Internationally) for our biggest celebration of the year!
  • The 67th Day: Watch for a special message letting you know when it is the 67th day of the year.

Complication Slots

To help you get around your watch faster, we have included two tap-to-launch areas. These shortcuts allow you to open your most-used apps with a single touch. You can set these to launch your calendar, fitness goals, or any other app installed on your device.

On-Screen Information

The display is a solid daily driver, providing vital stats at a glance:

  • The Time: Large, bold digital digits centered on the screen.
  • The Date: Cleverly tucked inside the colon between the hours and minutes.
  • The Countdown: A celebration countdown at the top of the screen lets you know exactly when the next 67th minute will occur.
  • Step Counter: A live step counter located clearly at the bottom of the display.
  • Hardware Stats: Dedicated areas for Heart Rate and Battery Percentage with a charge indicator.

Always On Display (AOD)

Six Seven supports a battery-efficient Always On Display mode. When your watch dims, the face remains visible in a high-contrast format so you can always see the time without waking the screen.

To give you even more control over your power consumption, we have included a dedicated AOD Brightness Control in the customization settings. You can choose from 10 different levels to find the perfect balance between visibility and battery life. This ensures you can keep your watch running all day without draining the battery.

The Companion App

Getting into the 6-7 Shift is easy. The SHL Six Seven app on your phone is your gateway to the watch face.

  1. Preview: Open the app on your phone to see a high-resolution preview of the face.
  2. Sync: Click the “Install on Watch” button to trigger the installation on your Wear OS device.
  3. Hub: Access the latest news and manual updates directly from the lab.

Troubleshooting

Step counter shows 0 or does not update This usually occurs if the permissions were denied access.

  • Solution: Switch to a different watch face and then switch back to Six Seven. When the system pop-up asks for “Physical Activity” permissions, ensure you tap Allow.

After 9:59, the watch shows 9:60, not 10:00. This is not an error and is by design so that we can lead up to celebrating the 67th minute past the previous hour. Time returns to normal at 8 minutes past the hour.
